Garden Party: Floral Favorites Available Now

Floral has always been a popular pattern throughout every decade.  The bohemian blossoms of the sixties and seventies adorn both minis and maxis alike.  The eighties gave way to sequined petals and bold, bright flowers laid over layers of tulle.  The more demure, dusty rose and ditsy florals of the nineties were a staple in the grunge scene.

In  celebration of summer, here are some of our favorite florals available now:

Summer Beauty Tried and True: Some Old, Some New

I love mixing vintage with current trends across the board, even when it comes to my beauty routine! My best kept secrets are plucked from every generation, from my grandmother to my best friend.  Here are my summer favorites that I highly recommend to any vintage vixen.

Smith's Rosebud Lip Balm
This gorgeous lip balm leaves your lips soft and conditioned with a subtle rosy glow and a fresh, minty scent.

Johnson and Johnson's Baby Oil
My grandmother once told me the secret to beautiful skin is no further than your local drug store.  After showering, smooth Johnson and Johnson's Baby Oil over every inch of your body for super-smooth, radiant skin.

This moisturizing spray lightly conditions your hair, strengthening your locks while fighting frizz and pesky flyaways.

For instant bold lashes reminiscent of the 60s, Maybelline's Falsies Mascara is my go-to pick.  The perk about this gem is that it'll only cost you 6 bucks and it's available everywhere cosmetics are sold!

Easy Breezy Summer Essentials: My Top No Fuss Fashion Faves

My fashion philosophy for this summer is all about keeping it simple without skimping on style.  Here are my top vintage essentials that are effortlessly chic and available at the shop now!

High Waisted Denim Cut-Offs, $18-$24
Cool and casual, I love the versatility of this vintage summer staple.  Go girly and pair them with a gingham blouse and peep-toe sandals, or toughen them up with a D.I.Y. tank and leather ankle boots.

90's Ditsy Floral Print
I adore this print, especially on open-back rompers and babydoll dresses! Worn and weathered cotton in a pretty pattern is the perfect way to look cute and be comfy at the same time.

 Chambray Button Down, $14-$18
The perfect solution to those nights when it's too warm for a denim jacket but cool enough for a little something extra.  Make your way over to the men's section of the shop and pick one up!  The light fabric and classic blue hue of this top is an easy addition to any attire.

Reworked Vintage Tanks, $12-$18
You know that fun quirky vintage tee at the thrift shop you were so stoked on until you noticed how horrifically huge and boxy it was, and it lost all its appeal?  With a keen eye and a few snips, we turned that boxy mess into a rippin' tank set for summer!
